About The Role
S&S Activewear, the leading nationwide distribution company in the apparel and fashion industry is seeking a highly skilled Sr Software Engineer to join our growing Software Engineering Team to help build and evolve our highly transactional eCommerce platforms and core business systems.
In this role, you will design, develop, and enhance scalable, high-performance applications and APIs using C# and modern .NET technologies. You’ll play a critical part in powering our ordering systems, integrations, and customer-facing solutions, working across a modern UI stack and collaborating closely with product, UX, and business stakeholders.
You’ll contribute to business-critical initiatives with real customer impact, while innovating on a fully in-house developed web platform and ERP system. Our teams operate in a fully agile, product-driven environment that encourages ownership, technical influence, architectural improvement, and the delivery of high-quality solutions at scale.

Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM, Full-Time, Exempt.
Hybrid Schedule Available - 220 Remington Blvd, Bolingbrook, IL
Salary Range: $117,000.00 - $133,000.00 annually, plus STI

What You Will Do
- 20% maintenance and 80% new development
- Design, build, and maintain web applications using C#, .NET, and Razor/Blazor.
- Develop and optimize RESTful APIs to support integrations with e-commerce platforms, customer systems, and internal applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Proactively test and optimize applications to eliminate defects, improve performance, and ensure a smooth user experience. Ensure code quality through best practices, testing, and peer reviews.
- Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability through code optimization, caching strategies, and other techniques.
- T roubleshoot, debug, and maintain existing applications to ensure reliability and performance.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to architectural decisions.
- 5+ years of professional experience with C# and .NET (Core or later).
- Hands-on experience with UI frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, Blazor, or other similar technologies).
- Strong hands‑on experience with modern JavaScript and CSS, including building responsive, maintainable user interfaces and optimizing client‑side performance.
- Experience using responsive design patterns across multiple devices.
- Strong experience in API design and development (REST, JSON, etc.).
- Proficiency with SQL and relational databases.
- Solid understanding of microservice architecture and cloud deployments (Azure or AWS preferred).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and strong communication abilities.
