Senior Software Engineer

🚀 Software Engineer (C# / .NET) | Hybrid | UK

We're partnering with a fast-growing technology company undergoing a major platform transformation and looking for a Software Engineer to join their engineering team.

This is an opportunity to work on the modernisation of a large-scale, business-critical platform, helping to migrate a legacy .NET Framework application into a modular, cloud-first architecture using modern .NET technologies.

What You'll Be Doing

• Developing and enhancing enterprise-scale software solutions in C# and .NET
• Contributing to the transformation of a legacy monolithic application into modern, scalable services
• Working within Agile delivery teams, participating in sprint planning, estimation, retrospectives and backlog refinement
• Writing secure, maintainable and well-tested code
• Collaborating closely with engineers, QA specialists and product stakeholders
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across engineering practices, tooling and processes

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Strong commercial experience with C#
• Experience working with both .NET Framework and modern .NET
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles including concurrency, process communication, automation and security
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Experience working within Agile development environments

Desirable

• Experience with Microsoft Azure
• Exposure to software modernisation and transformation programmes
• Understanding of domain-driven design and defining domain boundaries
• Database design, data modelling and performance optimisation experience
