- Lead, coach, and line‑manage a multi‑disciplinary engineering team, setting clear expectations, objectives, and performance standards.
- Provide technical leadership across architecture, design, and engineering standards, contributing to the evolution of the technology strategy through informed design and platform decisions.
- Take end‑to‑end technical ownership for the platforms and services delivered by the engineering teams.
- Partner with Product, Delivery, Architecture, Security, and Operations teams (UK and US) to align engineering outcomes to business priorities.
- Establish, embed, and continuously improve engineering ways of working, delivery practices, and quality standards.
- Ensure adherence to agreed coding, testing, release, security, and operational best practices.
- Govern and oversee external technical resource providers to ensure quality, accountability, and alignment to internal standards.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, succession, and capability planning to ensure sustainable team capacity and skills.
- Provide senior technical input to solution design, architecture reviews, incident response, and complex problem resolution when required.
- Significant experience (typically 5+ years) in an engineering management or senior technical leadership role within complex, multi‑disciplinary environments.
- Strong background in software engineering, including design, development, and operation of .NET‑based applications and services.
- Proven experience leading teams using Agile delivery and DevOps practices
- Experience working within globally distributed teams, including collaboration with US‑based stakeholders.
- Experience leveraging AI‑enabled development tools and/or large language model (LLM) capabilities

- Salary range: £75,000 – £90,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
