A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Software Developer with full-stack experience to work on a high-profile MoD Training Programme.


This is a hands-on role focused on developing scalable, secure and cloud native applications that will support the strategic aims of a highly impactful programme.


As well as building secure backend services, you will integrate APIs and databases, develop and maintain frontend interfaces and containerise applications using Docker & Kubernetes.


Hybrid Working

Up to 2-3 days per week on site in Westbury


Security Clearance

Eligibility for UK SC Clearance will be required


Technical Skills

  • Front end – React, Angular
  • Backend – combination of Python, Java, Golang or .NET
  • Cloud experience – AWS, Azure or MODCloud will all be considered
  • Docker & Kubernetes
  • CI/CD tools eg. Jenkins
  • IaC using Terraform ideally (or CloudFormation)


Other Skills

  • Good communication skills
  • The ability to work with technical leads, architects and other engineers
  • Enthusiastic about applying modern development practices
  • Not afraid of failure and sharing lessons with relevant teams
