Senior AI‑First Software Engineer
What This Person Will Do
- Develop and evolve Judge Copilot Adoption Studio which is a Microsoft Store published product
- Design and build Copilot Studio agents and Power Automate flows to support internal teams and client solutions
- Deliver high‑quality, billable consulting work across multiple client engagements
- Apply AI‑First development practices throughout the software development lifecycle
- Build and maintain .NET backend services, data integrations, and APIs
- Design and implement enterprise integrations, leveraging proven design patterns
- Implement and maintain modern CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment workflows
- Build and integrate end‑to‑end automated tests using Playwright
- Contribute directly to improving AI SDLC maturity within the Application Development team through hands‑on execution and example
- Seamlessly transition between collaborative teamwork and autonomous delivery
Primary Skills (Required)
AI‑First Software Engineering
- Demonstrated experience working in an AI‑First or AI‑Native development model
- Uses AI as a core, daily component of software development using GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor or equivalent agentic coding tools, including the use of Model Context Protocol (MCP)
- Experience applying AI across coding, testing, documentation, and delivery automation.
- Ability to positively influence AI adoption through execution and example by setting patterns others can follow
Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services & RAG Concepts
- Hands-on experience with Azure OpenAI - model deployment, prompt engineering, function/tool calling, structured outputs, and cost/latency tuning.
- Experience with Microsoft Cognitive Services (Azure AI Services) - Document Intelligence, AI Search, Speech, Vision, and Language as appropriate.
- Practical experience designing and tuning RAG systems - chunking, embeddings, vector search, hybrid retrieval, reranking, grounding, and evaluation.
- Familiarity with Azure AI Foundry, Semantic Kernel, or comparable orchestration frameworks.
Agent Building and Automation
- Hands‑on, real‑world experience building Copilot Studio agents including topics, generative actions, knowledge sources, and connectors.
- Hands‑on experience designing Power Automate cloud flows with custom connectors
- Experience delivering agents and automations that support real business workflows
Backend Engineering (.NET Required)
- Strong backend development experience using .NET that includes C#, ASP.NET Core, Web APIs, minimal APIs, and background services
- Solid experience with SQL, relational databases, and ORMs (Entity Framework Core preferred)
- Ability to design scalable, maintainable backend services
Modern SDLC, CI/CD & DevOps
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps (Pipelines, Repos, Boards, Artifacts and Test Plans)
- Hands‑on experience with Docker and containerized applications
- Strong understanding of automated build, deploy, and test practices, including infrastructure-as-code (Bicep, ARM, Terraform)
- Understanding of observability fundamentals, including logging, metrics, and diagnostics for cloud‑deployed applications (Azure Application Insights, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Ability to design systems that can be effectively monitored, debugged, and supported in production
Integration Experience
- Proven experience designing and building enterprise integrations across SaaS, on-prem, and cloud systems.
- Experience with enterprise integration platformsand/or custom integration layers (Boomi, MuleSoft, Service Bus)
- Strong understanding of integration patterns and API‑centric architectures (REST, GraphQL, webhooks, async messaging, OAuth/OIDC, and Microsoft Graph).
Cloud Experience
- Hands‑on experience building and running production applications in Azure (preferred) or AWS
- Understanding of cloud identity, secure service‑to‑service communication, and secrets management
- Familiarity with event‑driven and asynchronous processing patterns
Automated Testing
- Experience using Playwright to write automated testing
- Ability to implement end‑to‑end test coverage and integrate it into CI/CD pipelines
- Working knowledge of unit and integration testing in .NET (xUnit, NUnit, Moq, or equivalents).
Secondary Skills (Nice to Have)
- Frontend experience: React or Angular
- Exposure to data engineering or ETL processes
- Experience building Teams apps, Adaptive Cards, or Microsoft 365 extensibility surfaces.
- Exposure to data engineering or ETL processes (Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric, or similar)
- Experience with vector databases (Azure AI Search, Pinecone, Qdrant) and embedding pipelines.
- Certifications in cloud or AI

- Strong client‑facing experience working on customer engagements
- Demonstrates analytical skills to scope solutions and estimate project work accurately
- Comfortable working across multiple projects and clients simultaneously
- Proven ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly
