Job Description

As a Software Engineer in R&D department, you will work in/with teams, Stream-Aligned (Products/Services) or Platform Engineering, of talented software engineers to make TotalSoft services even more successful.

You will be responsible for development and researching technologies, as well as designing and implementing new products/services!

Bring your development seniority and we’ll season it with platform designed experience (microservices, orchestration, design paradigms, etc.).

What You’ll Do

• Work as part of the Stream-Aligned or Platform Engineering teams that are dynamic, enthusiastic, full of ideas, fun and friendly
• Work with concepts like MSA (microservices) architectures, and all the paradigms implied, containers, cloud friendly approaches, lean development
• Apply state of the art software design to ensure high availability, scalability, maintainability, and performance of high-traffic web applications
• Work closely with Product Managers, Architects, and UI/UX experts. As a member of a Stream-Aligned or Platform team, you will have the flexibility to contribute at any level, whether it's frontend, middleware, discovery, or platform, based on your preferences, skills, and experience.
• Drive actions that influence the software product design
• Propose ideas and innovations to be driven from team members

What you need to succeed

• Solid technical education (Computer Science, Data/Information Science, Mathematics, or a related field)
• Strong knowledge of OOP or Functional programming (any language/platform)
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with:
• C#, .NET Core/8 and/or NodeJS; Web Application Frameworks (ASP.NET MVC, SPA); software design
• RESTful Microservices, light-weight efficient, decoupled APIs that scale well
• Event driven architectures (like Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)
• Modern reactive JavaScript Frameworks (React, Next.js, Vue.js, Angular)
• Storage technologies like SQL Server (or any database technology experience) scripting and/or design, Redis, no SQL
• Experience with automated UI and API testing (BDD, Selenium)
• Experience with containerized environments using Kubernetes, Docker and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Git, or any version control system for software development
• Experience with Entity Framework (EF), Reflection, ADO.NET or counterparts from other languages/frameworks
• Willingness to learn from team members

This role may be a great fit if:

• Experience of working in a charged up Agile environment
• Experience with any cloud technologies (Azure/AWS/GCP)
• Good understanding of concurrency and multithreading, ability to write scalable, reliable, testable, and reusable code
• Solid knowledge of software design, architectural styles, design patterns or good knowledge on various software practices/patterns (CQRS, Event Sourcing, Clean architecture)
