About the company
I'm recruiting for a Belgian IT & data consultancy, founded in 2018 and active in Belgium, France and Germany, with its home base in Brussels.
They're a team of around twenty specialists focused on the full data value chain: data governance, data integration, and data analytics & science, built on a strong foundation in software architecture and domain-driven design.
They're not a body shop. Almost all of their work comes from long-term missions with large enterprise and public-sector organizations across energy, public services, transport, finance and insurance. You'd typically work in a hybrid setup, around one to two days a week on the client site and the rest remote, within a clear but genuinely flexible framework.
The position
Joining the Integration Hub team, you'll design and build the messaging and caching backbone that keeps a large, mission-critical environment connected and reliable.
- Build the integration layer. Design and build a transversal integration layer centered on messaging and caching, using RabbitMQ, NServiceBus and distributed caches, to enable reliable and scalable communication and data storage across systems.
- Model & architect. Design a coherent physical data model and apply best practices in message queuing, routing and cache management, aligned with business and system architecture requirements.
- Operate & secure. Set up, administer and troubleshoot messaging tools and cache solutions, and safeguard performance, reliability and security through CI/CD and automated unit & integration testing.
- Collaborate & support. Collaborate with other IT teams, external partners and business stakeholders during project phases, and deliver first- and second-line support for production environments.
- Grow the team. Contribute to team maturity, technical knowledge and efficient documentation around messaging and caching infrastructures.
Your Profile
Must-have
- 5+ years of experience on the .NET / Microsoft platform (Azure cloud, Databricks).
- Extensive experience with messaging systems such as RabbitMQ and NServiceBus.
- Proficiency with distributed caches and cache patterns.
- 3+ years with integration frameworks, especially message queuing and routing.
- Strong knowledge of automated unit & integration testing and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of Web Services (SOAP), XML and flat-file data formats.
- Team player with an Agile mindset and strong communication skills across technical and business profiles.
What would makes you stand out as candidate:
- Experience administering and troubleshooting messaging environments across Windows and Unix platforms.
- A performance-oriented approach: analysing performance test results and optimising message and cache performance.
Why join them :
- A craftsmanship culture. They're a true learning organisation. Senior profiles mentor juniors the way master craftsmen pass on their trade, with weekly knowledge-sharing sessions and workshops where each expert presents real use cases to the rest of the team.
- Continuous coaching, start to finish. Their support starts during the interview process and continues throughout the mission. You're never “sold and forgotten” at a client: when something needs solving, the team sits down together, finds a solution, and you carry on.
- Real people, real trust. A genuine human side and trust-based flexibility, where you manage your own hours as long as the work gets done. It's still a small, transparent, family-feel company where profit is reinvested into the people and the business.
- Substance over buzzwords. They specialise in data and work for the business, not just for IT. No AI hype for its own sake; they believe sound data governance comes first, so the solutions you build actually create value.
- Concrete package. Employee package includes a company car, meal vouchers, a 13th-month salary and team-building activities. Freelance is also possible.
Practical details
- Start: September 2026.
- Location: Brussels (hybrid).
- Languages: Fluent English with professional proficiency in French and/or Dutch.
- Engagement: Full-time, long-term mission.
