Sr. Software Engineer (C#/Angular)

This role is responsible for contributing to the full lifecycle of modern web application development, including requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, and deployment. The candidate will be a contributor to a software team that is responsible for building high-quality, scalable solutions using C# and Angular within an Azure environment. Over time, the candidate will develop deep expertise in the company’s application ecosystem and play a key role in improving system performance, reliability, and code quality.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The incumbent may be required to perform all, or a combination of the following essential functions as determined by business necessity:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using C# and Angular, ensuring high-quality, maintainable code.
• Translate functional and technical requirements into well-structured solutions that align with established architecture and development standards.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and team members to define requirements, system behavior, and data needs.
• Participate in solution design, with a focus on performance, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
• Develop, debug, and unit test code in alignment with team standards and SDLC practices.
• Partner closely with QA to support test planning, defect resolution, and successful delivery of features.
• Contribute to accurate effort estimation, sprint planning, and delivery commitments.
• Create and maintain clear technical documentation, including design specifications and implementation details.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth implementation of changes, including deployments and post-release validation.
• Support and enhance existing applications, ensuring stability, performance, and adherence to change control processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application and system issues across environments in a timely and effective manner.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support production systems, as required.

LEVEL OF SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

Under general direction, works from policies and general objectives with little functional guidance. Rarely refers specific cases to supervisor unless clarification or interpretation of organization policies is involved.

EDUCATION, TRAINING and/or EXPERIENCE:

A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent is required. Must possess five (5) to seven (7) total years of Web experience. Strong project management skills.

TECHNICAL SKILLS, CERTIFICATES, and/or LICENSES:

Required Technical Skills

• Strong experience with C# and modern .NET (Core / .NET 6+)
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs (Web API, Swagger)
• Proficiency with Angular and TypeScript for front-end development
• Experience with SQL Server or Azure SQL, including writing and optimizing T-SQL queries
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and application layering (N-tier architecture)
• Experience designing and developing scalable, maintainable web applications
• Familiarity with full software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices, including version control (Git/Bitbucket), issue tracking (Jira), and documentation (Confluence)
• Experience using modern development tools such as Visual Studio and/or Visual Studio Code

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Azure services (App Services, Azure Functions, Application Insights)
• Exposure to microservices architecture and distributed systems design
• Experience with responsive web design and modern UI practices
• Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., Jasmine, XUnit, Playwright)

REASONING ABILITY:

Must possess the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. The ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstracts and concrete variables is required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) is preferred but not required.

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS and/or PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The incumbent will use a computer keyboard, monitor, and mouse extensively. Remote/Hybrid position with travel to home office based on business need. At home setting is required to ensure comfort and privacy for sensitive information.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY (If Applicable):

This position will manage projects, facilitate meetings, and indirectly mentor IT Staff and Users on major projects.
