Following our successful expansion into the U.S. and continued growth across Europe, we are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to help drive our Engineering team from our Barcelona hub.

Reporting directly to our Engineering leadership, this person will play a critical role in building backend core services and solutions to enhance our digital software business backbone.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the design of all backend systems planning and design, and collaborate and lead backend team to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for an experienced Backend Architect with strong expertise in software development, architecture, backend systems planning and design, and modern backend technologies.

Someone who can understand, document and develop solutions needed for company solutions. This person should be able to mentor junior team members, work in agile development environments, and help deliver scalable, high-quality backend services.

Key Responsibilities

• Build backend core services and solutions to enhance our digital software business backbone.
• Be part of the design of all backend systems planning and design.
• Collaborate and lead backend team to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Understand, document and develop solutions needed for company solutions.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Contribute to agile development practices and delivery.

Requirements

✅ Must-haves

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field with a minimum of 6 - 8 years of experience in Software Development and Architecture.
• Expertise in the latest version of .Net/C# frameworks.
• Experience with relational/data warehouse databases, MySQL, PostgreSQL, BigQuery.
• Proficiency with version control, Git, and tools like Confluence and Jira.
• Knowledge of microservices-based architectures, serverless and Object-oriented programming concepts.
• Experience with cloud services, GCP, AWS, Azure, and cloud-agnostic development, Docker, Kubernetes.
• API design and development for RESTful and GraphQL services.
• Familiarity with DevOps concepts, CI/CD, Containerization, Test-Driven Development.
• Experience in agile development.
• Experience mentoring junior team members.
