Software Engineering Lead (Hands-on Coding, Enterprise SaaS/FinTech)

About the Role

Quantium Technology is looking for a hands-on Software Engineering Lead / Manager to take ownership of technical direction, engineering execution, and team excellence for our enterprise SaaS platform.

This is not a coordination role. You will set technical standards, influence architecture, coach senior engineers, and ensure that business goals are translated into scalable, maintainable systems.

You will work closely with Product, Client Solutions, and international stakeholders, and are expected to articulate technical decisions clearly in English.

What You Will Own

• Lead and mentor a core development team, while providing technical direction to 2–3 additional team leads

• Define and enforce engineering standards for code quality, performance, security, and scalability

• Translate business and product requirements into clear technical scope, sprint plans, and execution strategy

• Own delivery outcomes — balancing speed, quality, and long-term maintainability

• Actively review architecture, critical code paths, and technical trade-offs

• Drive engineering productivity and sustainability, not burnout-driven velocity

• Lead the development of high-availability, scalable backend services and APIs

• Oversee and improve RESTful API design, versioning, and documentation

• Partner with Client Solutions to turn client feedback into technically sound product improvements

• Present technical plans, risks, and decisions in English to foreign stakeholders and leadership

Technical Expectations

You are expected to be hands-on enough to challenge design decisions and guide the team at a senior level.

• Strong backend experience with C#, Java, or equivalent enterprise-grade languages

• Solid front-end understanding with Angular, React, or modern JavaScript frameworks

• Experience designing and maintaining scalable APIs and distributed systems

• Strong database knowledge (MySQL, MongoDB, or similar) and data modeling principles

• Experience building systems with performance, reliability, and maintainability in mind

• Familiarity with automation, CI/CD, and modern engineering practices

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with proven leadership in enterprise or FinTech products

• Experience leading senior engineers and team leads, not just junior developers

• Ability to make and defend technical decisions, even under ambiguity

• Comfortable operating in a fast-growing, high-expectation environment

• Business-fluent English — able to explain complex technical topics clearly to non-engineers and foreign stakeholders

• Long-term mindset and ownership mentality aligned with building sustainable platforms

• Experience in financial, investment, or regulated systems

• Prior experience scaling teams or platforms under real production load
