Role Description

The Managing Partner – Deep Tech & AI Systems Architecture is a full-time, hybrid role based in the Seattle metropolitan area, WA, with flexibility for partial work from home. The position is responsible for setting the strategic direction for deep tech and AI systems architecture initiatives, leading end-to-end design of scalable, secure, and resilient AI-driven infrastructure solutions. Day-to-day activities include overseeing technical roadmaps, evaluating emerging technologies, guiding architecture standards, and coordinating with cross-functional teams on product and platform integration. The role involves managing high-impact client engagements, presenting complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and ensuring projects align with business goals and regulatory requirements. The Managing Partner will also mentor senior technical leaders, drive innovation programs, and contribute to long-term organizational growth and market positioning.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in AI systems architecture, distributed systems, and cloud-native infrastructure design.
• Strong background in deep tech domains such as machine learning, data engineering, high-performance computing, or edge computing.
• Proven leadership experience in managing technical teams, setting strategic direction, and owning complex delivery portfolios.
• Ability to translate business objectives into technical strategies, with a track record of successful large-scale implementations.
• Experience collaborating with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders, including executive-level communication and negotiation.
• (15 years +) Proficiency with modern cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), DevOps practices, and security-by-design principles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with comfort operating in ambiguous and fast-evolving environments.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred; equivalent practical experience considered.
• Prior experience in venture-building, innovation leadership, or managing partner-level responsibilities is highly beneficial.
