AI/ML Engineer (Mid-Level to Principal)

Location: Hybrid-San Francisco Bay Area

Compensation: Up to $350,000 base salary + potential equity, depending on experience

Work Authorization: U.S. Citizens and Green Card holders only

We are partnering with a well-funded, innovative technology company building next-generation AI solutions for enterprise data and analytics. They are seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer to help design and scale intelligent systems that power advanced AI agents, code generation, knowledge retrieval, and data transformation capabilities.

What You'll Do

• Design and build production-grade AI agents and intelligent workflows.
• Develop and optimize RAG architectures, vector search solutions, and knowledge systems.
• Drive AI-powered code generation and data transformation capabilities.
• Evaluate, fine-tune, and improve LLM performance, quality, and reliability.
• Partner with engineering leadership to make key architectural and technology decisions.
• Scale AI systems for production environments with a focus on performance, observability, and reliability.

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of software engineering experience with strong AI/ML expertise.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying AI applications, agents, or LLM-based systems in production.
• Strong Python development skills.
• Experience with RAG, vector databases, knowledge graphs, prompt engineering, model evaluation, and AI system design.
• Background working with cloud-native technologies and distributed systems.
• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, BigQuery, Neo4j, Kubernetes, AWS, Scala, or Go is a plus.
