AI Software Engineer – LLM Services

As an AI Software Engineer – LLM Services, you will help design and build AI-powered services that bring Large Language Models and cloud-based AI capabilities into real-world products. Working closely with other software engineers, architects, and product teams, you will contribute to innovative solutions used by customers around the world.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement AI-powered software services, with a focus on Large Language Models and cloud-based AI capabilities
• Build and maintain robust backend services and APIs using C#/.NET
• Integrate LLMs and AI services into product workflows across applications and services
• Prototype AI-based features such as document understanding, information extraction, summarization, classification, entity recognition, or intelligent automation
• Experiment with prompts, model behavior, AI service design, and practical evaluation of AI output quality
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, software developers, and other technical experts to shape innovative AI-powered products
• Continuously improve existing services with a focus on performance, reliability, scalability, cost, and maintainability
• Contribute to technical discussions and help identify practical and valuable applications of AI and LLM technologies in real-world products
• Showcase AI innovations through demos and presentations for internal stakeholders, customers, partners, and events
• Create clear and concise documentation for technical designs, APIs, development decisions, and AI service behavior
• Contribute to engineering excellence by delivering clean, maintainable, and reliable software within an agile development environment.

Qualifications and Skills

• Degree in computer science, software engineering, artificial intelligence, data science, mathematics, or related field -or equivalent practical experience
• Strong practical knowledge of C# and .NET backend development
• Experience building REST APIs or service-oriented applications
• Knowledge of agile development tools and processes such as Jira, Git, Jenkins, or similar tools
• Passion for Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, and Large Language Models
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and structure work even when requirements are still evolving
• Comfortable presenting technical work, preparing demos, and explaining AI-related topics to technical and non-technical audiences
• Team-oriented, curious, proactive, and enthusiastic about the fast-moving AI ecosystem
• Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in English plus good knowledge of either French, German, or Dutch

Bonus Points for

• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, document AI, RAG, embeddings, automation, or machine learning through professional, academic, or personal projects.
• Understanding of CI/CD, Docker, cloud deployment, or DevOps practices
• Knowledge of Python for AI prototyping, scripting, data analysis, or model experimentation
• Experience with AI frameworks or tools such as OpenAI/Azure OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, PyTorch, scikit-learn, or similar technologies
• Familiarity with document processing, OCR, data extraction, information retrieval, search, or classification
