Pre Sales Lead Data Analytics
Role Overview
The Pre Sales Lead Data Analytics is a senior client facing role responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic account mining shaping differentiated Data Analytics solutions and leading end to end presales pursuits The role bridges business technology and delivery working closely with account leadership delivery teams and senior client stakeholders to convert opportunities into scalable profitable engagements
This position also plays a critical role in mentoring presales and solutioning teams strengthening proposal quality and ensuring delivery governance alignment from deal shaping through execution
Key Objectives
- Grow revenue by proactively identifying shaping and closing Data Analytics opportunities within strategic accounts
- Position the organization as a trusted Data Analytics transformation partner
- Ensure smooth transition from presales to delivery with strong governance and architectural alignment
- Participate in building recruiting right talent for the account
Responsibilities
Account Mining Revenue Growth
- Partner with Account Managers and Client Partners to mine existing accounts and identify whitespace opportunities
- Build a strong understanding of client business data landscape and pain points
- Proactively propose valueled Data Analytics use cases BI modernization advanced analytics AIML cloud data platforms
- Develop and maintain a healthy opportunity pipeline with predictable revenue outcomes
- Support cross sell and upsell motions across analytics cloud and data engineering services
Solution Definition Deal Shaping
- Lead solution architecture and deal shaping for Data Analytics opportunities
- Define end to end solutions across
- Data platforms and architecture
- BI and reporting
- Advanced analytics AIML
- Cloud data ecosystems
- Generative AI
Estimate effort pricing commercial models and delivery approaches
Ensure solutions balance client value technical feasibility scalability and profitability
Articulate solution value propositions clearly to business and technology stakeholders
Proposal Leadership Sales Support
- Own and drive creation of winning proposals RFPRFIRFQ responses and client presentations
- Develop compelling storyboards solution narratives and differentiators
- Lead solution walkthroughs technical discussions and executive presentations
- Collaborate with sales marketing and delivery teams to strengthen proposal quality and win rates
- Ensure proposals align with organizational standards risk posture and delivery capabilities
Team Mentoring Capability Building
- Mentor and guide solution architects presales consultants and analysts
- Build strong solutioning and estimation capabilities within the team
- Establish reusable solution frameworks accelerators and artifacts
- Coach teams on client communication storytelling and value articulation
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement learning and innovation
Delivery Governance Transition
- Support deal to delivery transition to ensure solution intent is preserved
- Participate in delivery governance architecture reviews and design validations
- Act as an escalation point for solution or scope related issues during early delivery phases
- Ensure delivery aligns with committed scope architecture timelines and commercials
- Provide advisory support during critical delivery milestones audits or steering committees
Required Skills Experience
Experience
- 18 to 20 years overall IT consulting experience
- 10 years in Data Analytics presales solutioning or consulting roles
- Proven track record of account mining and revenue generation
- Experience working with enterprise and CXO level stakeholders
Technical Domain Expertise
- Strong understanding of Data Analytics ecosystems including
- Data warehousing and BI
- Cloud data platforms AWS
- Modern analytics stacks Snowflake Databricks etc.
Familiarity with
- ETL data integration concepts
- Data governance quality and security
- Advanced analytics and AIML use cases
- Property Casualty Insurance Industry domain experience is a strong plus
Pre Sales Consulting Skills
- Solution architecture and estimation
- Proposal and bid management
- Client storytelling and executive communication
- Commercial awareness and pricing constructs
- Stakeholder management across sales delivery and clients
