Mosaic Conseil is a boutique remote consultancy. We function as a small workshop dedicated to rebuilding specific business artifacts. When a client sends us a three year plan, a pricing grid, or a diligence file, we take it apart on the bench. We then rebuild it from the bottom up, checking every assumption against the reality of the invoice ledger. Our process is personal and extremely focused. We do not produce slide decks or maintain standing retainers. Instead, we return the same artifact the client sent, redrawn by hand and supported by a written argument.
We keep the workshop small on purpose. Staying small and remote allows us to remain independent and focused on the evidence found at the ground level of a business. We focus our efforts on four specific areas: financial services, industrial networks, growing software companies, and healthcare systems. In this environment, the people who do the work also answer their own phones.

What you would do
As a Junior Prompt Engineer at Mosaic Conseil, your work involves translating complex business logic into precise instructions for large language models. You will support our model rebuilding process by creating and testing prompts that help audit financial data or extract insights from dense internal records. This is a technical role grounded in logical reasoning and forensic analysis.

• Designing prompts to extract structured data from messy, unstructured business documents and ledgers.
• Testing different prompt sequences to ensure the outputs are consistent, accurate, and verifiable against the source material.
• Drafting clear, logical instructions that help models identify inconsistencies in financial forecasts.
• Collaborating with our analysts to refine prompts used in building written arguments for our clients.
• Documenting the logic behind specific prompt structures to ensure our work is repeatable and transparent.
• Maintaining a library of prompt templates tailored to the specific needs of industrial and financial service clients.
• Assisting in the initial review of business artifacts to identify where automated analysis can support our manual rebuilding process.

Helpful background
This is an entry level role suited for someone who values precision and logical consistency. We are looking for individuals who are comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment and who enjoy the process of trial and error required to get an LLM to produce exactly the right result.

• A strong grasp of English grammar and the ability to write very specific, unambiguous instructions.
• Basic familiarity with large language models and a curiosity about how they process complex reasoning tasks.
• The ability to break down a large problem into small, logical steps that a model can follow.
• Comfort with spreadsheets and a general understanding of how business data is structured.
• A high level of intellectual honesty and the willingness to admit when a prompt is not working as intended.
• Previous experience with coding or technical writing is useful but not strictly required.
• A disciplined approach to testing and documenting results.
