Compensation: $150,000 - $200,000

Position Description:

Strategic Systems is seeking a Solution Architect / Pre-Sales Engineer who can bridge business strategy, solution architecture, AI innovation, and rapid application development.

This is not a traditional architect role focused on documentation and diagrams. We need someone who can quickly understand a client's business challenges, translate them into practical technical solutions, build working prototypes in weeks using AI-assisted development tools, and then lead delivery teams through production implementation.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable presenting to executives, facilitating discovery sessions, designing solution architectures, and building functional proof-of-concepts. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, business acumen, technical depth, and the ability to build trust quickly with clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with clients and prospects to understand business challenges, workflows, and strategic objectives.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, automation opportunities, and AI-enabled workflows.
• Architect and present modern data, analytics, automation, and AI solutions across Azure, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, and related platforms.
• Design solutions spanning the full automation spectrum, including RPA, workflow automation, RAG architectures, LLM-powered applications, AI agents, and agentic systems.
• Rapidly build functional prototypes and MVPs using AI-assisted development tools and modern application frameworks, typically within 2-4 weeks.
• Deliver demos, proof-of-concepts, presentations, and technical workshops that clearly communicate business value.
• Support proposals, RFPs, and Statements of Work with solution architecture and technical leadership.
• Lead solution design from discovery through production deployment while collaborating with engineering, data, UX, and delivery teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in solution architecture, consulting, pre-sales engineering, data platforms, AI, or software delivery.
• Proven ability to rapidly build working prototypes using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, ChatGPT, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of modern AI technologies, including LLMs, RAG, vector databases, LangChain, LangGraph, AI agents, and enterprise AI architectures.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP and/or AWS), modern data platforms, analytics, and application development.
• Strong knowledge of data architecture, user experience principles, automation technologies, and software delivery practices.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage both executives and technical stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments and turn ideas into working solutions quickly.

Physical Requirements: The physical requirements for this office role include the ability to sit or stand for extended periods, typically up to 8 hours a day, and regularly operate standard office equipment such as computers and phones. Employees should be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally and frequently perform tasks that require typing, writing, and document handling. Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary, along with adequate visual and auditory abilities to read materials and participate in meetings.
