We are seeking an SAP BTP / AI Developer to design and build AI-driven capabilities that accelerate SAP project delivery. This role sits at the intersection of SAP engineering, AI development, and delivery enablement.

You will build AI solutions from the ground up—not simply configure or consume off-the-shelf tools. Your focus will be on creating intelligent services on SAP BTP that translate functional requirements into actionable technical outputs, automate delivery tasks, generate test data and scripts, and reduce friction across the SAP development lifecycle.

This role is well-suited for a strong engineer who enjoys building practical AI that measurably improves how SAP projects are delivered.

What You’ll Do

AI Development on SAP BTP

• Design and develop custom AI services and agents on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
• Build AI capabilities that:
• Translate functional requirements into technical specifications
• Support the delivery phase of SAP projects
• Automatically generate test data, test scripts, and delivery artifacts
• Accelerate development, testing, and release cycles
• Develop reusable AI components, APIs, and services that integrate cleanly with SAP systems (e.g., S/4HANA).

Requirements Translation & Delivery Enablement

• Partner with functional consultants and business stakeholders to understand requirements and delivery needs.
• Convert ambiguous or high-level inputs into structured, high-quality technical outputs using AI-driven approaches.
• Build tools that support developers, testers, and delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Engineering & Integration

• Integrate AI services into SAP landscapes using BTP services, APIs, and event-driven architectures.
• Embed AI solutions into development workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and testing processes.
• Ensure solutions adhere to clean-core principles and SAP best practices.

Quality, Governance & Scalability

• Ensure AI solutions are secure, scalable, explainable, and production-ready.
• Document architectures, models, and usage patterns clearly for internal teams.
• Continuously improve AI tooling based on feedback from delivery teams.

What You Bring

Required

• Strong software engineering foundation with hands-on experience building AI/ML-based systems.
• Experience with SAP BTP (application development, integration, or extensions).
• Demonstrated ability to translate functional or business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience generating or automating:
• Test data
• Test scripts
• Developer or delivery accelerators
• Proficiency in Python, Java, JavaScript, or ABAP—particularly in service-oriented architectures.
• Solid understanding of modern AI concepts, including LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, and API-based AI services.

Nice to Have

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA or large-scale SAP delivery programs.
• Familiarity with SAP AI Core, AI Launchpad, or hyperscaler AI services (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, or MLOps practices.
• Consulting or project-based delivery experience.
