Expression of Interest: AI Developer

We are seeking expressions of interest from experienced engineers ahead of an upcoming opportunity with a well-established Australian financial services organisation currently investing in its AI transformation and automation capability.

About the Role:

This position sits within a newly established AI Transformation function and is responsible for converting redesigned business processes into production-grade technical solutions. The successful candidate will work across the full solution lifecycle - from design and development through to deployment and adoption - and will serve as a key liaison between technology and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build and maintain AI-driven automations and integrations across core business systems
• Establish and manage cloud infrastructure and data pipelines supporting production workloads
• Implement robust testing, monitoring and deployment practices to ensure reliability and cost efficiency
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate process requirements into technical solutions
• Lead user acceptance testing and iterate based on stakeholder feedback to drive adoption
• Maintain clear technical documentation and promote reusable, sustainable engineering practices

About You:

• Significant experience in software development, data engineering, or automation, including delivery of LLM-powered applications
• Strong proficiency in Python, including asynchronous programming and modern API frameworks
• Demonstrated experience deploying and managing AI workloads within a major cloud environment
• Sound understanding of APIs, authentication protocols, event-driven architecture and database systems
• Proven track record of end-to-end project ownership, from requirements gathering through to production deployment
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
