AI Engineer

Clenergy is building AI capabilities into our products and operations across the clean-energy value chain. We are looking for a hands-on AI Engineer who has trained models in practice, understands how large language models work, and can build AI-powered applications end-to-end. You will collaborate closely with both our local and global teams, so the ability to work fluently in English and Chinese is essential.

What You'll Do

• Build, train, fine-tune and deploy machine-learning models to solve real business problems.
• Design and develop LLM-powered applications from prototype through to production.
• Integrate AI solutions into existing software systems and data pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, business) across regions.
• Evaluate model performance and continuously improve quality, latency and cost.

What You Bring

• Programming: strong proficiency in Python.
• Model training experience: hands-on experience training models in at least one domain - computer vision, NLP, speech, or any other field.
• LLM application development: solid understanding of how large models work, together with practical experience building LLM applications.
• Engineering foundation: working experience in both software engineering and data engineering.
• Education: Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or an Engineering discipline.
• Languages: professional working proficiency in both English and Chinese, written and spoken.
• Core skills: strong problem-solving ability and excellent communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP).
• Experience deploying AI services in production environments.
• Familiarity with the renewable-energy / solar / energy-storage domain.
