YOUR ROLE
We are looking for an AI Engineer & Data Scientist (Microsoft focus) to join Capgemini Portugal’s Data & AI consulting team. You will deliver end-to-end AI solutions across predictive/prescriptive ML and GenAI, ensuring production readiness through strong MLOps/LLMOps and Responsible AI practices on Microsoft’s ecosystem.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Develop and deploy ML solutions (training, validation, deployment, monitoring and drift management) aligned with business goals.
- Build GenAI applications using Azure services (Azure OpenAI/Azure AI Studio patterns, orchestration, safety, grounding/RAG), integrating with enterprise data and systems.
- Implement MLOps and GenAIOps practices (CI/CD, observability, governance, environment promotion, automated evaluation and monitoring).
- Apply LLMOps lifecycle concepts (inner/outer loops: curation, experimentation, evaluation, deploy, monitor, feedback) to ensure quality and repeatability.
- Embed Responsible AI and safety-by-design practices (risk controls, privacy, security, content safety, auditability).
- Support pre-sales and client workshops: technical solutioning, effort estimation, proposal input, demo/POC acceleration.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing and reusable assets (templates, evaluation harnesses, deployment blueprints).
- Minimum of 2+ years experience delivering AI/ML solutions (production context preferred).
- Strong foundation in predictive & prescriptive AI, plus experience building GenAI solutions for business use cases.
- Practical experience with Azure AI services and/or Azure ML; familiarity with LLMOps/MLOps practices for production workloads.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with APIs/integration patterns is a plus.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management; structured problem-solving and ownership mindset.
- Fluency in Portuguese and English.
- Nice-to-have: Azure certifications; experience with evaluation frameworks and content safety controls; experience with Prompt orchestration and automation.
