Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Machine Learning Engineer role based in Lagos. The Machine Learning Engineer will design, develop, and deploy machine learning models that improve call quality, optimize network performance, and enhance user experience across Esdiac’s communication platforms. Day-to-day tasks include data collection and preprocessing, feature engineering, model training and evaluation, and integrating models into production systems in collaboration with software engineering teams. The role also involves monitoring model performance, refining algorithms, and contributing to experimentation and A/B testing to drive measurable product improvements. The engineer will work closely with product and infrastructure teams to ensure that machine learning solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business goals.
Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science and Algorithms, with the ability to design efficient, scalable solutions.
• Proficiency in Statistics and Pattern Recognition for building robust, data-driven models and evaluations.
• Hands-on experience with Neural Networks and modern machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• Experience with programming languages commonly used in ML (such as Python), data processing tools, and version control (e.g., Git).
• Understanding of distributed systems, cloud platforms, or microservices architecture for deploying ML models to production.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, communicate technical concepts clearly, and document solutions effectively.
• Experience in telecommunications, VoIP, networking, or real-time systems is an advantage.
