We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant (technical) to support a multidisciplinary technical team working on the EU Horizon-funded ADFLEX project. ADFLEX is a semantic translation bridge that breaks down data silos between local energy ecosystems (households, EVs, PVs) and Distribution System Operators (DSOs), standardising communication via the IEEE 2030.5 protocol.

Working closely with experienced team members, the role will involve assisting in the development, testing, and refinement of a Python-based Small Language Model (SLM) for semantic data translation, integration of this data within the ENERSHARE Dataspace environment, and the development of APIs to expose translated data to DSOs. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate to gain hands-on experience across semantic web technologies, dataspace interoperability, and API development in the energy domain. The position requires strong analytical thinking, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced technical environment.

Research Assistant L 1 (2026) Salary Scale: €34,134 per annum, pro rata (1 point )
