About The Role

We are seeking a Forward-Deployed Engineer to join a pioneering company focused on revolutionizing AI systems for scientific and engineering applications. This role involves working directly with customer teams to translate complex engineering challenges into deployable AI systems, impacting the future of photonic and semiconductor hardware development.

What You'll Be Doing

• Engage with customer teams to understand and frame technical requirements for photonic device and circuit design workflows.
• Develop high-impact software prototypes and AI-assisted workflows for modeling, simulation, and optimization.
• Collaborate with internal teams to convert field learnings into scalable platform capabilities.
• Serve as a technical bridge between customer needs and product capabilities, ensuring rigorous and solution-driven approaches.

What We're Looking For

• MSc or PhD in a relevant science or engineering field.
• 4+ years of experience in software engineering, applied AI, or solution engineering roles.
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with modern AI tools.
• Excellent communication skills and experience working directly with customers or stakeholders.
• A collaborative and solution-focused attitude.

Nice to Have

• Experience with agentic AI solutions and modern frameworks like LangChain or Ray.
• Familiarity with EDA environments and hardware-software co-design.
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure and deployment workflows.
• Experience with enterprise deployment models and HPC environments.
