What you'll do
- Develop software tools for extracting tasks, procedures, entities, requirements, and decision logic from technical documents
- Build LLM, NLP, and retrieval-augmented workflows for working with manuals, procedures, and training content
- Design data structures such as task graphs, step sequences, checklists, and instruction templates
- Evaluate model outputs for accuracy, traceability, consistency, and usefulness to training system developers
- Integrate AI-generated outputs into simulation, XR, or software training pipelines
- Document model behavior, assumptions, limitations, and human-review requirements
- Experience building applied AI, NLP, or LLM-enabled software in Python
- Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation, document processing, information extraction, or text classification
- Ability to evaluate AI outputs carefully and design workflows that keep humans in the loop
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and ability to work with structured and unstructured data
- US Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- Experience with technical manuals, military training content, maintenance procedures, or instructional systems
- Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, vector databases, embeddings, OCR, or document parsing tools
- Experience building knowledge graphs, task graphs, workflow engines, or structured content pipelines
- Experience with defense, aerospace, training systems, or digital engineering applications
- Active DoD Secret clearance
