What you will be doing

You will work hand in hand with the CTO and CPO to explore what's truly possible with large language models and turn it into experiences millions of parents rely on at bedtime. As an AI Product Engineer at Napper, you'll be our creative force for AI: dreaming up bold ideas, rapidly prototyping them, and pushing models to their limits. You'll own the intelligence behind our product, shaping the AI and machine learning that power features like our sleep prediction engine, built on hundreds of millions of baby sleep logs. You'll spot opportunities others miss and turn them into features people love. We don't believe in micromanagement, so you'll have the freedom and the responsibility to follow your curiosity and make a real impact.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience working with software engineering or data science
• Demonstrable experience building with LLMs (prompts, evals, RAG, agents, or AI SDKs/APIs)
• Proficiency in Python and widely used machine learning and data engineering libraries (PyTorch, PySpark, Scikit-learn etc.)
• Team player who can work independently and proactively propose solutions when faced with ambiguous software engineering problems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS and infrastructure as code
