Why this role is different

Most junior jobs hand you a ticket queue and a "good luck." Not here.

You'll learn to build AI systems that thousands of real customers actually use, not toy chatbots, but agents and data pipelines running in a regulated Swiss bank. You'll sit at the intersection of LLMs, analytics, and cloud infrastructure, mentored by people who've taken AI from proof-of-concept to production (and lived to tell the war stories).

If you graduated recently and you're the kind of person who breaks things to understand them, debugs your own code before asking for the answer, and gets a little too excited about a clean data model , you'll feel right at home.

The AI part

Here's the deal: you're joining at the exact moment AI stops being hype and starts being infrastructure.

You'll help us build agents that reason over financial data, RAG pipelines that actually ground their answers, and LLM systems that have to be correct, explainable, and auditable, because "the model said so" doesn't fly when a regulator asks.

You won't just use AI. You'll learn to make it trustworthy. That's the rare skill, and it's the one that will define your career.

What you'll be doing

You'll grow into this, we don't expect all of it on day one:

• Write clean, tested Python that ends up in production (not in a drawer)
• Help build agentic workflows: tool calling, retries, handling the inevitable failures
• Work on RAG pipelines, chunking, embeddings, retrieval that actually retrieves the right thing
• Query and model data in BigQuery, and learn why analytical correctness matters
• Add the unglamorous-but-critical stuff: tracing, evaluations, cost and latency monitoring
• Learn to handle customer data the right way, PII, access control, auditability
• Document what you build and explain your trade-offs clearly (bonus points for zero buzzwords)

What we're looking for

We're hiring for potential and attitude, not a decade of experience.

• A recent degree in Computer Science, Data, Engineering, or a related field (or a self-taught path that proves you can build)
• Solid Python foundations, you've written real programs, not just notebook snippets
• Genuine curiosity about AI, LLMs, and data, some hands-on tinkering (projects, internships, hackathons, side projects) counts a lot
• Comfort with SQL, or eagerness to get there fast
• The instinct to debug your own code and figure things out before reaching for help
• Clear communication and the humility to ask good questions
• You care about why something works, not just that it works

Nice to have (truly optional)

• A personal project involving an LLM, an API, or a dataset you found interesting
• Any exposure to Google Cloud, containers, or Git workflows
• A hackathon, open-source contribution, or that one weekend project you can't stop talking about
• Curiosity about regulated environments and why "move fast and break things" doesn't always apply to banks
