Role Overview

We're hiring an AI Architect / Generative AI Solution Architect for a major telecommunications client in Vienna, driving a large-scale AI and Generative AI transformation programme. This is a strategic, enterprise-level architecture role — not classical IT architecture — focused on designing scalable, secure, and future-proof AI and LLM architectures across a complex system landscape.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop modern AI and Generative AI architectures
• Conceive scalable, secure, enterprise-grade AI solutions
• Evaluate and select AI technologies, frameworks, and platforms
• Provide architecture consulting for AI-based use cases
• Integrate AI solutions into existing IT, data, and cloud landscapes
• Collaborate with business, data science, engineering, and IT stakeholders
• Evaluate modern AI tools including Claude and comparable LLM platforms
• Produce architecture concepts, technical documentation, and decision papers
• Define AI governance, security, and compliance requirements
• Ensure scalability, maintainability, and technical quality of AI architectures
• Guide AI use cases from ideation through implementation
• Lead architecture workshops, reviews, and technical alignments

Required Profile

• 6+ years in IT, solution, or enterprise architecture
• Proven track record as an AI Architect / AI Solution Architect
• Strong expertise in AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI
• Advanced Python skills
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and modern AI tools
• Solid grasp of AI/data architectures, APIs, and integration patterns
• Experience introducing and evaluating new AI platforms/technologies
• Knowledge of AI governance, AI security, and Responsible AI principles
• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or related field
• AI certifications
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
• Strong stakeholder management and consulting mindset

Nice to Have

• Telecommunications sector experience
• Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• MLOps / LLMOps / AI platform architecture knowledge
• Prompt engineering, RAG, or agent-based AI systems experience
• International project experience
• AI/data protection compliance knowledge
• Additional AI, cloud, or architecture certifications
