Possible Tasks within this Role
- Designing an AI-based system to support the creation of commissioning programs
- Developing and implementing a prototype solution incorporating relevant data sources
- Integrating bills of materials, vehicle configurations, diagnostic data, software versions, and process standards
- Identifying optimization potential with regard to cycle time, program structure, and corrective actions
- Analyzing and deriving data-driven improvements to increase the efficiency of commissioning processes
Qualification Requirements
- Good to very good university degree qualifying for doctoral studies in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field of study
- Knowledge of vehicle commissioning or related areas (e.g., vehicle diagnostics such as Unified Diagnostic Services / service-oriented vehicle diagnostics, vehicle electronics and networks) and/or service-oriented architecture is desirable
- Knowledge of software development is a plus
- Strong project management skills (scheduling and cost management)
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of a scientific research topic
- Strong analytical thinking skills and solid technical understanding
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
