Consultant – AI-Assisted Transformation

DSi Professionals is seeking an experienced Consultant – AI-Assisted Transformation to join our growing consulting practice and support the delivery of innovative AI-enabled transformation initiatives across government and enterprise organisations.

This role sits at the intersection of business transformation, artificial intelligence, legacy application modernisation, and digital innovation. You will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, developers, analysts, and executive sponsors to identify opportunities where AI can accelerate discovery, analysis, modernisation, automation, and operational improvement.

You will play a key role in assessing complex business and technology environments, conducting AI-assisted analysis, facilitating stakeholder workshops, developing transformation roadmaps, and supporting the delivery of modernisation initiatives across application, data, process, and technology domains.

This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in emerging AI transformation programs that leverage modern AI platforms, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, automation frameworks, cloud technologies, and innovation-led delivery practices.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery and assessment activities across business processes, applications, data, and technology environments.
• Facilitate workshops with business and technical stakeholders to identify transformation opportunities.
• Conduct AI-assisted analysis of business processes, application portfolios, integrations, and operational workflows.
• Support reverse engineering and documentation of legacy applications and undocumented systems.
• Develop business cases, recommendations, and transformation roadmaps.
• Identify opportunities for application rationalisation, consolidation, automation, and cost optimisation.
• Collaborate with architects and technical teams to define future-state operating models and solution architectures.
• Support Proof of Concept initiatives and innovation programs involving AI, automation, and modernisation technologies.
• Assess governance, security, compliance, privacy, and operational readiness requirements.
• Assist with the development of AI governance frameworks, responsible AI practices, and human oversight controls.
• Contribute to stakeholder reporting, executive presentations, and program governance activities.
• Support implementation planning, business readiness, adoption, and change management activities.

• Proven experience as a Business Consultant, Transformation Consultant, Digital Consultant, or similar advisory role.
• Experience delivering technology transformation, modernisation, or digital transformation initiatives.
• Strong business analysis, process mapping, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience facilitating workshops and translating complex requirements into practical recommendations.
• Understanding of AI technologies, Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, and AI-assisted delivery approaches.
• Experience developing business cases, operating models, roadmaps, and transformation strategies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience working within structured project delivery frameworks and governance environments.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure AI, Microsoft Copilot, OpenAI, or related AI platforms.
• Knowledge of application modernisation, cloud transformation, and legacy system remediation.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Power Platform, Azure, or enterprise business systems.
• Understanding of AI governance, responsible AI principles, and data governance frameworks.
• Experience within Federal Government, State Government, or highly regulated environments.
• Familiarity with ISM, PSPF, Essential Eight, security and compliance frameworks.
• Experience supporting AI-enabled discovery, reverse engineering, or transformation initiatives.
• Relevant certifications in Business Analysis, Project Management, Cloud, AI, or Architecture disciplines.
