As a Relationship Partner - Associate as part of Global Banking Deal Services, you coordinate critical client and transaction activities that help deal teams execute efficiently and meet key controls. You'll partner closely with industry, product, and country banking teams to support relationship management and deliver a strong client experience. You'll track deal milestones, surface issues early, and drive follow-ups across multiple stakeholders. You'll work in a highly collaborative environment where prioritization, clear communication, and ownership matter every day.
Global Banking Deal Services helps deal teams stay organized and control-aware by coordinating core client and transaction activities across the deal lifecycle. We partner with compliance, legal, credit, finance, and operations teams to ensure key reviews and milestones are completed accurately and on time. Your work helps reduce friction for deal teams while strengthening execution discipline.
Job responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with deal teams, supporting origination and execution across a portfolio of clients and sectors
- Coordinate timely completion of client activities and transaction milestones, including negative media checks, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) assessments, sanctions due diligence, announcements, and closing steps
- Join due diligence discussions to capture requirements, document decisions, and drive follow-up actions to completion
- Manage and monitor the deal pipeline, maintaining accurate status updates and clear next steps
- Partner with compliance, legal, credit, research, finance, business management, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and unblock execution
- Provide end-to-end coordination for internal approval workflows, ensuring inputs are complete and milestones are met
- Partner with Know Your Customer (KYC) operations to support new and existing business requests, ensuring accurate and timely completion
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce administrative burden, and improve turnaround times
- Monitor deal controls and milestone adherence, escalating risks early and driving remediation plans
- Prepare concise updates and materials for stakeholders, tailoring communication to senior audiences
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor's degree
- Demonstrated knowledge of investment banking products, such as mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets, leveraged finance, debt capital markets, or loans
- Experience supporting transaction execution and coordinating multi-step processes with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and senior stakeholders
- Demonstrated ownership and follow-through, including working independently to drive tasks to completion
- Strong prioritization skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams in a fast-paced environment
- Proven problem-solving skills, including identifying issues early and driving practical resolutions
- Strong written communication skills, including clear status reporting and action tracking
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate pipeline and milestone tracking
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in relationship management, sales, or client coverage roles
