Job Summary
Intelepeer is expanding our team and is looking for a highly motivated, technically adept Solutions Engineer focused on AI and Healthcare technology to join our dynamic team. As a Solutions Engineer, you will play a critical role in understanding our clients’ business challenges and requirements—with a particular emphasis on Healthcare EHR/PMS environments—and leveraging your expertise in artificial intelligence and API integration to design and propose effective AI-driven solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product, and software engineers, to deliver innovative AI solutions that drive innovation and create tangible value for our clients. A core part of your role will involve integrating with leading EHR and Practice Management Systems (such as Epic, athenahealth, Oracle/Cerner, and eClinicalWorks) via REST and FHIR APIs, and applying basic scripting and coding skills to demonstrate, prototype, and support these integrations. You will be the key technical resource during the sales process, collaborating with the sales team, and engaging with clients to showcase the value of our AI solutions in healthcare workflows.
Responsibilities
- Client Engagement: Engage with healthcare and enterprise clients to understand their business objectives, EHR/PMS workflows, and operational pain points. Conduct in-depth discovery sessions to gather requirements, map existing EHR integrations (Epic, athenahealth, Oracle/Cerner, eClinicalWorks, and others), and define the scope of AI projects within clinical and administrative environments.
- Solution Design: Design end-to-end automation solutions that align with clients’ specific needs, with emphasis on Healthcare EHR/PMS integration points. Leverage your knowledge of AI algorithms, REST/FHIR APIs, and integration frameworks to propose innovative and effective AI architectures that connect with existing healthcare systems and workflows.
- Technical Consultation: Act as the primary technical advisor to clients, providing insights on AI best practices, EHR/PMS integration strategies, API connectivity patterns, and the feasibility of AI projects based on available data, existing system capabilities, and healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, USCDI).
- Solution Presentations: Develop and deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations of AI solutions to clients. Effectively communicate the value proposition of proposed AI projects and address technical inquiries.
- Proof of Concept (PoC) Development: Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to create AI prototypes and PoCs that showcase integration capabilities with EHR/PMS platforms. Contribute basic scripting and coding (Python, REST API calls, JSON/XML data handling) to build and demonstrate functional integrations and automation workflows.
- Continuous Learning: Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI technologies, industry trends, and best practices. Share your knowledge with the team and contribute to developing AI-related assets and resources.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales teams to support business development activities, including participating in pre-sales engagements and contributing to proposal development.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their evolving needs and identifying opportunities for future AI projects and engagements.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality and accuracy of AI solutions through rigorous testing, validation, and continuous improvement.
- Technical Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of our AI products, machine learning algorithms, and AI-driven solutions. Stay up to date with the latest advancements in artificial intelligence and related technologies.
- Sales Support: Partner with the sales team to identify potential clients and understand their unique requirements. Provide technical expertise to the sales team to effectively position our AI solutions.
- Product Demonstrations: Conduct compelling and informative product demonstrations to showcase the capabilities and benefits of our AI offerings. Customize demonstrations to align with each client's industry and use cases.
- Technical Consultation: Act as a trusted technical advisor during the sales process, answering clients’ technical inquiries and providing expert insights on integrating AI solutions into their existing EHR/PMS systems, scheduling workflows, and patient engagement platforms via APIs.
- Training and Knowledge Sharing: Conduct training sessions and workshops for clients to ensure successful adoption and utilization of our AI products. Share best practices and insights into maximizing AI value.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with the product development team to provide customer feedback and insights, contributing to the improvement and enhancement of our AI solutions
- Experience deploying AI solutions in real-world scenarios, particularly within healthcare or clinical settings, including integration with EHR/PMS platforms such as Epic, athenahealth, Oracle/Cerner, eClinicalWorks, NextGen, or similar systems.

- Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, or other specialized AI domains.
- Understanding of data privacy and security considerations in AI applications, including HIPAA compliance, PHI handling requirements, and healthcare data governance standards (USCDI, FHIR R4).
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in the AI or technology industry.
- Hands-on experience with API development and integration using Python, JavaScript, or similar languages, including REST API design patterns, OAuth/API key authentication, webhook configuration, and working with healthcare interoperability middleware (e.g., Redox, Health Gorilla, or direct FHIR APIs). Prior experience in technical presales for a cloud offering or as a software evangelist is a plus.
- Good Understanding of IaaS Cloud, SaaS and Container Environments like Amazon AWS, Google GCP and Microsoft Azure.
- Communications Technology (SIP, ICE, TURN, STUN, NAT, WebRTC) experience.

Minimum Education And Experience
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, Data Science, or related technical fields.
- Proven experience as a solutions consultant, AI consultant, or related technical presales role, with a focus on AI-driven projects—preferably with exposure to healthcare technology, EHR/PMS platforms, or clinical workflow automation.
- Strong understanding of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning concepts, algorithms, and tools.
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in AI and integration development, such as Python or JavaScript. Ability to read, write, and debug basic scripts; work with REST APIs (authentication, requests, response handling); and parse JSON/XML data structures. Formal software engineering experience is not required, but comfort with code is essential.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and translate it into actionable insights and solutions.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Project management experience, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on time and within scope.
- Customer-centric mindset with a strong focus on delivering value to clients through AI solutions.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and adapt to a fast-paced, agile work environment.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings and industry events.
