Investor Relations Associate

An Investment Management Firm is seeking an experienced professional to join their team as an Investor Relations Associate.
Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end onboarding of SMA accounts, from approval through funding and initial trade execution
- Coordinate account setup with custodians and internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless process
- Review account details, restrictions, and documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Identify and resolve “not in good order” items and custodian/platform-related issues proactively
- Maintain clear, timely communication with advisors throughout the onboarding lifecycle
- Serve as a primary point of contact for advisor inquiries and ongoing support needs
- Partner cross-functionally to address account-related requests and issues
- Own issue resolution from initiation through completion, ensuring a high level of service
- Escalate complex matters as needed while maintaining a solutions-oriented approach
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation within CRM systems
- Proactively anticipate advisor needs and communicate relevant updates and insights
- Follow through on requests to ensure full resolution and advisor satisfaction
- Provide meaningful context and perspective to support advisor decision-making
- Build and maintain strong advisor relationships through consistent, high-quality interactions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3–5+ years of experience in asset management, advisor service, or onboarding.
- Familiarity with separately managed accounts (SMAs), custodians, and advisor platforms preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Clear, professional communication skills.
- High level of accountability, ownership, and follow-through.
- Experience with CRM systems and analytics platforms (e.g., Morningstar) is a plus.
- FINRA Series 7 and Series 63/65 or 66 licenses (or ability to obtain within the first year of employment).
