PhD-level Acoustics AI Engineer

We're looking for a PhD-level acoustics profile to support R&D on signal processing and on-device ML. We run acoustic analysis fully on-device on proprietary low-power hardware (no cloud inference) to deliver a DPS,making acoustic performance a standard building metric, comparable to energy performance.
Technologies / requirements:
Must-have
- Years of experience don't necessarily matter, Skills and Competence does.
- Acoustics / audio signal processing (building or environmental acoustics, psychoacoustics, or DSP) - PhD or PhD-candidate level, 3+ yrs research/applied
- Python and/or C/C++
- Machine learning / deep learning for audio
- Fluent English
Good-to-have
- TinyML / Edge AI / embedded ML (e.g. TensorFlow Lite Micro, edge deployment)
- Embedded C/C++ and DSP on microcontrollers
- Familiarity with acoustic standards / regulations (building acoustics)
- Hardware / PCB awareness
Other selection criteria:PhD or PhD candidate in acoustics; research/publication track record a plus; autonomous and comfortable in an early-stage startup R&D environment with human-in-the-loop workflows.
