Data Scientist

The Data Engineer role offers an exciting opportunity to support Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) initiatives focused on energy optimisation across manufacturing sites in ASEAN. This role focuses on building data-driven systems that improve energy efficiency, support sustainability goals, and enable real-time decision-making in factory environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and operationalise machine learning models to forecast and optimise energy usage in factories
• Build automated systems to manage energy supply and demand dynamically
• Integrate and process data from industrial systems such as sensors, PLCs, and SCADA
• Analyse data to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for performance improvement
• Work with cross-functional teams to scale energy and carbon reduction solutions across multiple sites

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• At least 3 years of relevant experience, with fresh Master’s graduates also welcome
• Strong expertise in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning techniques, including deep learning approaches
• Proficiency in Python and experience deploying machine learning models in industrial or factory environments
• Familiarity with IoT systems, industrial data, and communication protocols such as MQTT, LoRa, PLC, and SCADA
• Good English communication skills, with TOEIC 600 or equivalent preferred
• Solid academic background
