Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior / Lead Software Engineer – AI Agents to design, build, and

productionize enterprise-grade AI agents and chatbots on Google Cloud Platform. The role

requires strong hands-on engineering capability, practical experience with LLM applications,

and the ability to take solutions from rapid proof of concept to scalable production deployment.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with Python, ADK, Vertex AI, BigQuery,

APIs, databases, and modern agent frameworks, while also bringing strong software

engineering discipline around security, scalability, observability, reliability, and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of AI agents, enterprise copilots, and conversational

assistants using Google Cloud Platform and modern agentic frameworks.

Build intelligent agents with tool integration, including APIs, databases, enterprise applications,

workflow systems, and external services.

Develop agent workflows involving multi-step reasoning, orchestration, memory/context

handling, task execution, and response generation.

Use ADK, Agent Studio, AI Studio, Vertex AI, or equivalent tools to rapidly prototype use

cases and demonstrate business value.

Convert prototypes into production-ready services using Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Functions,

APIs, and CI/CD pipelines.

Integrate AI agents with Vertex AI, BigQuery, enterprise data platforms, IAM, monitoring

tools, and secure service layers.

Implement guardrails, prompt controls, access restrictions, logging, auditability, and

human-in-the-loop controls where required.

Optimize agent performance across latency, cost, accuracy, reliability, and scalability.

Create reusable engineering patterns, templates, and frameworks to reduce the cycle time from

POC to production.

Collaborate with product owners, architects, data engineers, cloud teams, and business

stakeholders to translate business problems into agent-based solutions.

Required Skills and Experience

5-8+ years of software engineering experience with strong backend development fundamentals.

Hands-on experience building AI / LLM applications, chatbots, copilots, or agentic

workflows.

Strong programming experience in Python, along with one additional backend language such

as Java, Go, Node.js, or similar.

Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform, preferably including Vertex AI, BigQuery,

Cloud Run, GKE, IAM, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Monitoring.

Experience with ADK or similar agent frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic

Kernel, CrewAI, AutoGen, or equivalent.

Strong understanding of API design, distributed systems, microservices, SQL, and

cloud-native application development.

Preferred Skills

Experience with RAG, vector databases, embeddings, search, and knowledge retrieval

patterns.

Exposure to enterprise copilots, operational assistants, workflow automation, or

decision-support agents.

Experience in supply chain, transportation, logistics, TMS, routing, shipment visibility, or

operational planning is a plus
