Integration Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an Integration Engineer to support the design, development, and maintenance of integrations across key enterprise systems. This role will focus on building and managing integrations using Dell Boomi and similar iPaaS platforms, connecting systems such as SQL Server, NetSuite, Salesforce, and ADP.

This role will also contribute to the integration and governance of enterprise AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT Enterprise, Claude APIs), helping enable secure and scalable AI-powered workflows.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in APIs and data integration, experience with integration platforms, and the ability to quickly ramp on existing systems using well-documented processes.

Key Responsibilities

Core Integration Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy integration solutions using Dell Boomi or similar iPaaS platforms
• Build and maintain integrations between SQL Server, NetSuite, Salesforce, ADP, and other enterprise systems
• Monitor integration processes and troubleshoot issues to ensure data accuracy and system reliability
• Perform data mapping, transformation, and workflow automation across systems
• Work with existing integrations by reviewing documentation, debugging issues, and implementing enhancements
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions
• Participate in integration testing, validation, and documentation
• Maintain clear technical documentation for integrations, processes, and data flows
• Ensure adherence to best practices, security standards, and data governance policies

AI Platform & API Responsibilities

• Support integration of enterprise AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT Enterprise, Claude, and other LLM APIs) into internal systems and workflows
• Build and maintain API-based integrations between AI services and enterprise applications (CRM, ERP, data platforms)
• Manage and secure API keys, tokens, and credentials in accordance with enterprise security practices
• Assist in implementing governance controls for AI usage, including access management and usage monitoring
• Collaborate with security and architecture teams to ensure compliant handling of sensitive data (PII, financial data, etc.)
• Support development of reusable integration patterns for invoking AI services within Boomi or middleware platforms
• Monitor AI-related integrations for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
• Document AI integration patterns and operational procedures

Required Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of experience in integration, application development, or related IT roles
• Hands-on experience with APIs (REST/SOAP), JSON, and XML
• Experience with an integration platform (Boomi, MuleSoft, Workato, or similar)
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills in integration environments
• Experience working with SQL and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server)
• Ability to work with and enhance existing integrations using documentation and logs
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Dell Boomi
• Experience integrating with Salesforce or NetSuite
• Experience with HRIS or financial systems (e.g., ADP, Concur, Basware)
• Familiarity with authentication methods (OAuth, API keys, SSO)
• Exposure to AI/LLM platforms or APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Claude, Azure OpenAI), or willingness to learn
• Understanding of logging, monitoring, and observability in integration platforms
• Familiarity with secrets management tools (e.g., Azure Key Vault, AWS Secrets Manager)
