PREPRESS AI SPECIALIST

How You’ll Make an Impact:

• Audit existing production and Prepress workflows to identify high-value opportunities for AI-assisted automation.
• Research, evaluate, and pilot AI tools and APIs relevant to print production (image enhancement, quality inspection, data extraction, document processing, etc.).
• Develop and maintain integrations between AI services and existing systems.
• Write and maintain integration code (Python, JavaScript/Node.js, REST APIs) to connect AI models and services into production pipelines.
• Build internal tooling such as dashboards, prompt interfaces, or processing pipelines that make AI capabilities accessible to non-technical staff.
• Define evaluation criteria and run structured testing to validate AI output quality before production deployment.
• Collaborate with prepress, IT, and operations leadership to align AI initiatives with production goals and capacity planning.
• Stay current on developments in AI tooling, models, and industry applications and bring relevant opportunities forward proactively.

Requirements:

• Must have a bachelor's degree in any field
• Preferably with 6 months to 1 year of working with AI models.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and cloud service integration.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (Python or JavaScript/Node.js preferred).
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, particularly large language models, image processing models, and API-based AI services.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate AI output quality objectively and define measurable success criteria.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
