Artificial Intelligence Lead

JOB PURPOSE

The AI Lead will spearhead the design, development, and implementation of AI-driven solutions across the Pioneer Group. This role will drive strategic AI initiatives, assess business opportunities for automation and intelligence, and ensure the ethical, secure, and scalable deployment of AI technologies. The AI Lead will have to understand organization and company challenges and how AI can address convert such to a competitive edge.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop the organization’s AI roadmap aligned with enterprise strategies.
• Identify high-impact AI use cases across the organization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into products.
• Accelerate AI adoption across Pioneer to improve efficiency, customer experience and champion a culture of data-driven decision-making.
• Lead and implement AI projects.
• Execute comprehensive change management and AI adoption strategies with set KPIs to concisely measure operational value and gains of each implementation.
• Establish AI Framework and governance standards.
• Lead end-to-end development of AI/ML models, including data exploration, feature engineering, training, and evaluation.
• Ensure solutions integrate with existing enterprise systems (e.g., core systems, CRM, cloud platforms)
• Monitor and analyze AI trends to ensure the company remains at the forefront of technology.

QUALIFICATIONS

Technical Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, engineering, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or a related field.
• At least 3-5+ years' experience in AI/ML model development and deployment.
• Proven experience in managing AI projects and leading technical teams.
• In-depth knowledge of AI, machine learning, and deep learning techniques.
• Strong understanding of data science concepts and methodologies.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Strong skills in Python, SQL, NO SQL and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, etc).
• Knowledge in NLP, computer vision, LLMs, and automation frameworks.
• Solid understanding of data engineering and MLOps pipelines.

Preferred

• Experience in the insurance or financial services industry.
• Familiarity with risk management, data privacy, and regulatory frameworks.
• Exposure to enterprise architecture and large-scale data platforms.
