Role Overview
We're looking for a Systems Engineer II to manage and support the IT infrastructure of client organizations in a Managed Service Provider environment. You'll ensure the efficient, secure, and reliable operation of client systems and networks, provide technical support, and implement solutions that improve their IT environments — working across networking, servers, security, and cloud services.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement service-oriented and solution architecture for client applications
- Develop and maintain ETL processes to ensure data integrity and availability
- Oversee IT infrastructure management, including cloud security and system hardening
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system design and architecture
- Administer systems across Windows, Linux, and UNIX
- Implement load balancing to optimize application performance
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and manage information security protocols
- Utilize cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, VMware) for virtualization needs
- Develop APIs (RESTful, SOAP, or microservices)
- Support CI/CD practices using tools like Jenkins or Git
- Provide technical leadership in debugging complex systems
- Participate in Agile project and development cycles
Skills & Experience
- Strong background in service-oriented architecture, solution architecture, ETL, and IT infrastructure management
- Experience with Salesforce, Pegasystems, NoSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and/or SQL Server
- Familiarity with Java, C#, Python, Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, CSS, T-SQL, C++, Bash, and/or .NET
- Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure) and understanding of Kubernetes
- Solid grasp of networking concepts (VPNs, firewalls, DNS, DHCP)
- Systems engineering principles including SDLC and architecture frameworks
- DevOps/CI-CD pipeline experience
- VMware ESXi familiarity; Meraki networking a plus
