The Founding Platform Team

The Platform team builds and maintains infrastructure that powers our global application's compute workloads. Working alongside our Product Engineering team, we enable efficient development and reliable service delivery. As founding members of the Platform team, you'll help establish our team's technical direction and build internal tools that scale with our needs. We leverage AWS and carefully selected third-party services, focusing on practical solutions that balance immediate needs with long-term maintainability.

What You'll Do

• Design and maintain highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS using infrastructure-as-code principles
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable product and infrastructure deployments
• Implement comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and auditing systems to ensure infrastructure health
• Create self-service tools that streamline product engineering workflows and reduce operational overhead
• Drive infrastructure security and compliance initiatives to protect business continuity
• Develop expertise in container orchestration and autoscaling to optimize resource utilization
• Collaborate with product teams on architecture decisions, focusing on performance and reliability
• Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions to maintain engineering quality
• Share platform expertise through documentation and knowledge-sharing sessions

What We Look For

• 4+ years of software development experience with Node.js, Python, or Golang
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• Strong AWS expertise and experience with infrastructure-as-code, particularly Terraform
• Proven track record with monitoring solutions (e.g., Prometheus, ELK stack)
• Experience with containerization, orchestration, and cloud-native architectures
• Practical knowledge of our core stack: Serverless, EventBridge, AWS Fargate, RDS, Docker, and Redis
• Track record of mentoring engineers and promoting engineering best practices
• Preference for leveraging and contributing to open-source solutions

Good to Have

• Experience designing and implementing multi-region cloud architectures
• Knowledge of cloud networking concepts and traffic management
• Understanding of security services (WAF, auth systems, secrets management, certificates)
• Database optimization and management experience
• Familiarity with modern CI/CD practices and tooling
