System Engineer

Summary:

Systems Engineer III will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable infrastructure automation solutions that support cloud and computing platforms. The engineers will develop deployment and testing automation, manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), improve CI/CD processes, and collaborate with networking and orchestration teams to deliver highly available services.

Job Title: Systems Engineer III

Job Duration: 12+ months

Job Location: San Diego, CA or Kirkland, WA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• 5+ years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a master’s degree; or equivalent work experience.
• A strong background in programming with Python.
• A strong background in Linux systems architecture and engineering.
• Experience managing infrastructure as code with terraform.
• Experience with applying a configuration management platform such as Puppet at scale.
• Understanding of core concepts around Kubernetes and Docker.
• Prior experience in software development or release management is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with virtualization and cloud infrastructure technologies.
• Work Authorization - Due to FTE budget planning, candidates must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.

Key Responsibilities

• Build software tools to automate deployment and testing of compute infrastructure
• Scale critical services such to support customer growth
• Apply test-driven development principles and help us move closer to our goal of continuous delivery
• Research and implement new open-source and commercial tools, technologies and methodologies
• Collaborate with peer teams who have built world class networking and orchestration solutions

A reasonable, good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum for this position is $60/hr. to $64/hr. on W2.
