Job Description

This highly focused position utilizes customer, product, market, and internal cost data to quote products to existing and new customers in the Electric Utility space. You will be responsible for increasing sales analyzing cost/pricing, and quote submission. Additionally, the Estimator has the responsibility of identifying and monitoring competitors and market conditions. The goal is to contribute to the overall operational efficiency and provide superior customer service experience while building and maintaining the customer base and relationships. This role's responsibilities will include Sales support and analysis, monitor competitor trends and market conditions. This position requires working knowledge of all business systems tools and is positioned to handle special / complex / high-profile accounts. Quoting exercises range from simple requests for a specific product to large, complex blanket opportunities covering a significant number of products. The primary function is to deliver best in class customer service, build strong relations, and influence decision makers.

Job Location

This position is hybrid based in our corporate office in Atlanta, GA.

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyzedata to understand the current market price and make strategic pricing decisions
  • Interact with Internal & External customers on application issues, product modifications and scheduling issues related to securing orders.
  • Enter estimates (quotes) while being solution-driven in any interactions with both internal and external customers
  • Review request for quote, plans, customer submitted specifications and/or competitor part numbers to determine appropriate product to quote based on product knowledge and product application
  • Utilizes historical product and customer data, current cost position, and competitive and market information to issue quotation
  • Interact with sales, marketing, and finance to understand pricing drivers and with customer service to execute on final pricing provided to customers.
  • Price product to maximize profit margins
  • Grow customer accounts for profitability
  • Collaborate with the team to be part of the continuous improvement

Job Requirements

  • Strong relationship skills
  • Team player; able to coordinate and collaborate to drive actions and results but ability to work independently when needed
  • Great autonomy and superior organizational skills
  • Demonstrates time management skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize work in effective manner
  • Attention to detail
  • Customer focused; dedicated to meeting the expectations of internal and external customers
  • Able to deal with client escalations in a respectful and effective manner
  • Has a keen interest in development; i.e. learning the business, product application, intercommunication skills, etc.
  • Willingness to research and learn to increase understanding of product application and markets
  • >2 years Wholesales and/or Manufacturing sales experience is preferred
  • Skilled user in MS Office programs; Netsuite experienced is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work calmly in a fast-paced team environment
  • Willing to be adaptable & flexible in our ever-changing work environment
