Job Summary:
In this role, you will serve as Deputy Project Manager for a large-scale EPC project and partner with the Project Manager to drive integrated delivery across engineering, procurement, construction, cost, schedule, quality, safety, and client commitments. This role will support AI-enabling infrastructure, and/or data center project delivery. You will lead cross-functional coordination, maintain execution discipline, monitor performance against project objectives, and drive timely resolution of issues and decisions. Your leadership will help deliver the project safely, predictably, and in alignment with client expectations and business objectives.
Major Responsibilities:
- Partners with the Project Manager to deliver large-scale EPC scope for AI-enabling infrastructure, and/or data center projects, with accountability for schedule, cost, quality, safety, risk, and client commitments.
- Coordinates engineering, procurement, construction, project controls, contracts, quality, safety, and other functions to align priorities and sustain disciplined delivery.
- Helps establish project goals, milestones, staffing priorities, delivery plans, and performance metrics for assigned workstreams or functional areas.
- Tracks performance, identifies risks and constraints, and drives mitigation planning, escalation, and resolution of critical issues.
- Supports integration of design, procurement, fabrication, construction, commissioning, and turnover activities to maintain alignment with the project execution plan.
- Maintains clear communication with internal stakeholders, client representatives, suppliers, contractors, and project leadership to support timely decisions and transparent progress reporting.
- Reviews project procedures, work processes, and execution practices and recommends improvements to strengthen performance, predictability, and compliance.
- Prepares and supports project reporting, including progress updates, performance trends, action items, cost and schedule information, and key risks for internal and external stakeholders.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or a related field (or international equivalent) and 15+ years of relevant EPC project delivery experience, or 19+ years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Extensive experience supporting or leading large, complex EPC projects through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnover.
- Strong working knowledge of EPC project execution, including project controls, change management, contract administration, risk management, construction planning, and interface management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence without direct authority, and drive alignment across multiple stakeholders in a complex project environment.
- Proven experience in a client-facing project role with frequent executive, customer, partner, contractor, and supplier communications.
- Experience working in delivery partner, joint venture, consortium, or other multi-entity contracting environments.
- Experience with large-scale EPC delivery in industrial, manufacturing, infrastructure, energy, advanced technology, life sciences, AI-enabling infrastructure, or data center environments required; semiconductor, microelectronics, cleanroom, advanced manufacturing, mission-critical, or similar project experience preferred.
