About The Role
Latitude IT Solutions is seeking a Monitoring & Incident Management Manager to own 24×7 observability, alerting, and incident response for a mission-critical VA health IT platform serving millions of Veterans. You architect and operate the Single Pane of Glass monitoring environment and serve as incident commander for all priority events.
What You'll Do
- Design, operate, and continuously tune platform monitoring across Dynatrace and Splunk — defining normal baselines, alert thresholds, and escalation trees for all production services
- Own the Single Pane of Glass dashboard: centralized telemetry, build status, compliance flags, and SLA metrics
- Lead all P1/P2 incident responses; drive root cause analysis and post-mortem documentation within contractual notification windows
- Manage on-call rotation for relevant Key Personnel; enforce rapid human response SLAs for resource saturation events
- Track error budget consumption across all SLA tiers; trigger reliability reviews when production error budgets near defined floors
- Maintain and improve Master Runbooks — executable, scripted playbooks for all named failure modes
- Deliver Monthly Deliverables Reports with SLA measurement, incident summary, and trend analysis
- Partner with DevSecOps on alert automation and auto-ticket creation in ServiceNow
- 7+ years of federal IT operations or SRE experience with 24×7 platform monitoring responsibility
- Expert-level Dynatrace and/or Splunk experience in a federal production environment
- Demonstrated incident command experience across multi-vendor teams under pressure
- Runbook/operational playbook authoring for complex, multi-service environments
- Familiarity with ServiceNow ITSM: incident ticketing, CCB integration, escalation routing
- Active Dept of Veteran Affairs PIV credentials
- Prior VAEC / AWS GovCloud experience
- ITIL v4 certification
- CloudWatch, Kinesis, or other AWS-native observability tools in GovCloud

- Applicants need to be a US Citizen to be considered for the position and have physically resided in the United States for a minimum of 3 years due to background investigation requirements
