Group Details
Tradeweb is seeking a Risk Operations Team Lead based in India to lead/support our team supporting vendor risk management, client due diligence, policy management, and training oversight. This role requires day to day activities and will oversee high-volume operational risk processes, partner with global stakeholders, strengthen governance and reporting, and help scale a risk operations capability that supports business growth and regulatory expectations. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in third-party risk, client assurance, policy lifecycle management, GRC tooling, and people leadership in a global financial services or technology environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, develop, and support our team of risk operations analysts and specialists based in India.
- Establish clear roles, responsibilities, service levels, quality expectations, and escalation protocols.
- Help build a high-performing team that supports global stakeholders across time zones.
- Assist with the daily execution of activities across the Vendor Management, Policy Management, Client Due Diligence, and Training Oversight programs.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across the organization to support Vendor Risk Reviews, client due diligence reviews, policy document updates and training governance activities
- Develop team capability through training plans, playbooks, job aids, certification pathways, and cross-training.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, documentation discipline, continuous improvement, and risk awareness.
- Proactively identify and recommend improvement opportunities across areas of responsibility
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Law, Compliance, or a related field.
- 10 plus years of experience in risk operations, third-party risk management, operational risk, client due diligence, information security governance, policy management, compliance operations, audit, or financial services risk.
- 5 plus years of people management or team lead experience.
- Experience in managing a risk operations team in India, including hiring, training, workflow design, quality assurance, and management reporting.
- Experience working in a global financial services, fintech, capital markets, exchange, SaaS, or highly regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of third-party risk management, vendor lifecycle governance, risk assessment methodology, control evidence review, and issue management.
- Experience responding to client due diligence questionnaires, SIG questionnaires, audit requests, or client assurance requests.
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity, business continuity, disaster recovery, incident management, access control, data privacy, third-party risk, and regulatory compliance control areas.
- Experience with GRC, workflow, trust portal, AI, or request-tracking tools such as Archer, Whistic, Monday.com, ServiceNow, ChatGPT or similar platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, accurate, client-ready and audit-ready documentation.
- Ability to manage high-volume operational workflows while maintaining quality, accuracy, confidentiality, and service levels.
- Ability to work effectively from India with global stakeholders across U.S., U.K., EMEA, and APAC time zones.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a global capability center, shared services, financial technology, trading platform, broker-dealer, exchange, clearing, banking, or regulated technology environment.
- Familiarity with SOC 1, SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 22301, NIST, COBIT, DORA, GDPR, business continuity standards, vendor oversight expectations, and financial services regulatory requirements.
- Experience with Archer policy management modules, third-party risk platforms, trust portals, and standardized due diligence packages.
- Experience designing dashboards, KRIs, KPIs, SLAs, QA scorecards, or executive reporting.
- Possess or ability to obtain relevant certifications
