Our UK Operations teams work where Uber's technology meets the real world. We own city-specific business outcomes and bridge our overall business strategy with local needs.

The UK Rider Operations team is responsible for developing and executing our demand growth strategy across the UK. Our projects often require cross-functional alignment, large-scale data analysis, critical thinking, and the ability to influence senior executives. If you're a self-starter with outstanding analytical skills, a strategic mindset, and a passion for partnering with internal and external stakeholders on region-wide initiatives, then this is the team for you.

What the Candidate Will Need / Bonus Points

---- What the Candidate Will Do ----

You will drive platform growth and user engagement across both Mobility and Delivery. You will lead and guide cross-functional collaboration across multiple lines of business and own the strategy and planning for Membership, partnerships, and cross-platform growth. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining our strong growth trajectory by optimising budgets and leveraging strategic insights to inform data-driven decisions.

1. Drive the business: Define and own the UK's membership and XLOB strategy. You will be accountable for key business metrics, including active members and the program's financial sustainability.
2. Lead a high-performing team: Manage, mentor, and develop a small but mighty team of individual contributors who are experts in strategy and operations.
3. Shape the product roadmap: Act as the voice of the customer and the business, translating market needs and user feedback into a clear product vision and prioritized roadmap.
4. Influence global strategy: Represent the UK business in global discussions, advocating for the consumer and guiding local teams to implement a truly user-centric strategy for platform growth.
5. Manage strategic investments: Recommend and allocate investment across competing priorities from various teams, including product, marketing, and sales.

---- Basic Qualifications ----

1. 5+ years of experience (including at least 2+ years as a people manager) in a high-performance environment, such as strategy, business operations, general management, or product management, preferably within the tech industry.
2. Demonstrated experience leading large, complex, cross-functional programs or launching new business lines from the ground up.
3. Proven ability to operate effectively in a matrixed organisation, influencing and driving results without direct authority.

1. Strong experience managing and influencing stakeholders across multiple functions and levels.
2. Strong communication skills - able to synthesize insights into clear, action-oriented recommendations for leadership.
3. Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to influence roadmaps and translate insights into platform improvements.
