Role: Business Development Leader - Service Cooling - India
Location: India
Objective:
Own and scale the Cooling Service business in the assigned geography, driving growth, profitability, and installed base penetration. Embed a ONE-BUSINESS approach across greenfield and installed base environments.
Key Accountabilities
- Own full P&L accountability for Cooling Service (orders, growth, gross margin)
- Define and execute service strategy aligned with market maturity and business priorities
- Drive adoption of ONE-BUSINESS approach across Greenfield markets
- Partner with local Cooling Business Leader to align commercial priorities and execution
Core Responsibilities
- Define installed base strategy, segmentation, and service penetration roadmap
- Identify, prioritize, and convert service opportunities:
- Maintenance contracts
- Retrofit and modernization
- Spare parts programs
- Lead lifecycle customer engagement at strategic level in coordination with C&SP organization
- Own asset lifecycle performance and customer retention strategy
Scope of Activities
- Greenfield, Brownfield and Installed Base ownership and segmentation
- Service opportunity pipeline creation and conversion discipline
- Lifecycle risk assessment and mitigation actions
- Localization of service offerings in partnership with Marketing and Service Offer Management
- Drive retrofit and modernization growth, including alignment with dedicated Ecofit/Modernization engineering capabilities
- Build and maintain senior-level customer relationships across the asset lifecycle
What Matters
- Ability to combine strategy and execution in a service-driven business
- Strong commercial ownership with end-to-end accountability
- Deep understanding of installed base monetization models
- Customer-centric mindset with long-term lifecycle view
- 8+ years in service business development, cooling/HVAC or industrial environment
- Proven track record in driving service growth and margin expansion
- Experience with retrofit, modernization, and lifecycle services
- Strong stakeholder management across commercial, technical, and service teams
- Ability to operate in complex, multi-country environments
