Key Responsibilities
Architecture Design: Create and review end-to-end application architectures (microservices, serverless, or event-driven) aligned with the
Cloud Modernization: Lead the refactoring and migration of monolithic legacy systems into highly available, cloud-native distributed applications.
Technology Selection: Determine the optimal use of Azure compute, databases, and messaging services (e.g., AKS, Azure Functions, App Services, Cosmos DB, Azure SQL).
DevOps & CI/CD: Work closely with engineering teams to implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines using tools like Bicep, Terraform, or GitHub Actions.
Security & Governance: Embed security controls, identity management (Azure AD/Entra ID), and
compliance guidelines into the application design phase.
Performance & Cost: Monitor and troubleshoot system workloads, ensuring SLAs are met while optimizing cloud resource sizing and cost-efficiency.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Experience: Typically, 8+ years in IT, with 3+ to 5+ years of hands-on experience exclusively designing and deploying cloud-based applications.
Azure Mastery: Deep knowledge of Azure PaaS and IaaS features, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and serverless computing.
Databases: Proficiency in designing data architecture using both relational (e.g., Azure SQL) and non-relational (e.g., Cosmos DB) databases.
Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert is highly preferred
