We are seeking a skilled D365 Platform Engineer with expertise in Dynamics 365 CRM and Power Platform to join our team. The ideal candidate will own release coordination, ALM pipeline maintenance, solution quality assurance, and platform operations across our Dynamics 365 CRM environments — ensuring reliable deployments, platform health, and compliance. This role is focused specifically on the CRM technology platform and works closely with developers, business analysts, and cross-functional stakeholders to keep delivery running smoothly in support of business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Release Coordination & ALM Pipeline Maintenance
- Own and maintain Azure DevOps ALM pipelines for managed solution deployment — editing pipeline configurations, managing connections, and ensuring alignment with current environment standards
- Manage Power Platform connection references and service connections across environments, keeping them current and functional
- Coordinate and execute solution releases across Dynamics 365 CRM environments — managing deployment sequencing, validation, and go/no-go communication with development and business teams
- Enforce branching standards and release governance practices across the D365 development workflow
- Manage the solutions archive structure and versioning discipline across deployment targets
- Run solutions through quality validation tooling prior to deployment, evaluating results against established pass/fail thresholds
- Document validation findings and create remediation tickets for the development team when solutions do not meet quality requirements
- Maintain and evolve solution QA standards in coordination with the Principal Developer and Director
- Administer Power Platform environments, maintaining solution layer health and overall environment integrity
- Provide technical support for Power Platform and Dynamics 365 CRM platform issues across environments
- Diagnose and troubleshoot CRM application and platform issues, escalating to developers where appropriate
- Monitor CRM platform performance and apply necessary optimizations
- Maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and policies
- Own the proactive monitoring of CRM platform health — tracking API volumes, throttling signals, service health indicators, and performance trends across environments
- Escalate emerging platform issues to the Director before they impact operations or become active incidents
- Contribute to building and maturing the team's platform observability capability, including alert configuration and monitoring coverage
- Maintain awareness of high-traffic business windows and adjust monitoring focus accordingly
- Support platform audit and compliance requirements, including monitoring data access activity and investigating audit log events within the CRM environment
- Support platform compliance tooling and escalate security concerns in coordination with developers and the Director
- Work closely with developers and business analysts to understand requirements and contribute to technical solutions
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and resolve platform issues and enhance functionality
- Participate in project planning and execution, contributing platform expertise to improve project outcomes
- Assist in gathering and analysis of business requirements for new projects or enhancements
Experience
- 4+ years supporting and administering Dynamics 365 CRM and Power Platform across multiple environments in an enterprise setting; or equivalent demonstrated experience
- Hands-on experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power Platform environment administration
- Demonstrated hands-on ownership of Azure DevOps ALM pipelines for managed solution deployment — including editing configurations, managing connection references, and maintaining pipeline health across multiple D365 environments
- Proven experience coordinating and executing solution releases across multiple Dynamics 365 environments, including deployment sequencing, validation, and go/no-go decision communication
- Experience running solution quality validation and automated code analysis — including interpreting results, applying pass/fail thresholds, and driving remediation with development teams
- Working knowledge of Dataverse security model, environment administration, audit logging, and API service protection limits
- Experience proactively monitoring CRM platform health — identifying API volume trends, throttling signals, and performance degradation, and escalating findings before they become incidents
- Experience participating in or supporting structured incident response processes, including triage, documentation, and post-incident review
- PowerShell or equivalent scripting for CRM administration, automation, and diagnostic tasks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to work cross-functionally with developers, business analysts, and leadership stakeholders
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals (PL-900), Power Platform Developer (PL-400), or Azure Administrator (AZ-104)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Purview, audit log tooling, or Microsoft 365 compliance frameworks
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments using project management tools such as Jira or Azure Boards
- Knowledge of security best practices for Dynamics 365 and Power Platform environments
- Financial services or insurance industry experience a plus; not required
