Position Description:
We are looking for a Principal Group Product Manager to join our team. You will work with our engineering teams to shape the future of our products. We are looking for a creative, engineering-minded individual to uncover and solve the highly complex operational realities that face our customers when they deploy high-scale, multi-tenant B2B applications on top of Auth0. This individual will help shape the next generation of our Tenancy-as-a-Service (TaaS) offering, transitioning Auth0 from a standard identity layer into the central orchestration plane and Directory of Tenancy for modern B2B SaaS, PaaS, and enterprise applications. You will be responsible for defining our Organization lifecycle management features at scale, enabling Auth to be a true control plane for SaaS application onboarding and lifecycle management. Your domain will center heavily on tenant management features, enabling new functionality such as customizable schemas, entitlements, and feature flags.
In addition, you will partner with our ISV ecosystem team to deliver a clear perspective on how our SaaS ISVs ultimately enable their products to become discoverable and monetizable on top of the Auth0/Okta platforms.
In this role, you will not only be responsible for owning the vision, but for designing a roadmap that provides incremental value along the way, layering and ordering features based on market demand, and refining the product and strategy at each step. You will focus on, and ultimately deliver delight to, our B2B admins and developers every step along the way. As a Group Product Manager at Okta, you will be supported by a dedicated product team to make your requirements a reality. We have a team of business agility, program, and product experts to ensure you have all the tools to be successful.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Do hands-on research and prototyping of identity and tenancy solutions and market tests for viability.
- Deeply embed yourself in B2B software development, understand how multi-tenant SaaS is built, the common pain points, and be able to articulate challenges and opportunities in the space.
- Own the product lifecycle for B2B mass management tooling, driving the strategy to simplify the management 100’s of thousands of B2B organizations
- Architect the roadmap for schema-driven operations, introducing type-safe custom schemas and Structured Tenant Metadata explicitly tied to the Auth0 Organization container along with the change management of these custom schemas.
- Work with our engineering and design team to build actionable requirements, APIs, and detailed specifications to enable engineering execution.
- Build roadmaps and compelling business cases that articulate your product direction, financial strategy, and downstream alignment.
- Follow our PDLC (Product Delivery Lifecycle) to drive a complete vision, while upholding the highest standards in security, architecture, and design.
Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 5 years of experience leading as a Product Manager or Team Lead in Engineering.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or has completed an Engineering Bootcamp program within the same time frame.
- Experience developing on, or working within, Multi-tenant SaaS applications.
- Deep understanding of Identity and Directory Protocols including OAuth, SAML, and SCIM.
- Design of APIs and detailed specifications to enable engineering execution.
- Practical experience working with data and tools to analyze data (SQL/BI Tools).
- Ability to use modern AI tools such as Claude Code and Codex to accelerate your work, without generating slop.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes.
- Hands-on experience with agile development tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Strong human/people skills to conduct deep-dive customer interviews.
- Direct experience building out B2B tenancy infrastructure, entitlement engines, configuration schema systems, or B2B SaaS control planes.
- Experience using third party licensing and entitlement tools
- Ability to travel within the US or Canada for customer conversations or research.
